Tim Healey (COBURN)

Tim Healey is a globe-trotting DJ, dance-music producer and lead-singer and guitarist in his own band. He has been Djing for over half his life, and producing for almost as long.

Tim has been championing his own uniquely-punky take on electro-house for years, and now the rest of the world has caught up.

2005 has seen him kick-start the year with appearances at festivals in Brazil and Australia, and gigs in top night-spots world-wide with forthcoming bookings including rock concerts in Singapore and Manumission, Ibiza, this summer.

His Rock Da World night with Daniele Davoli at Gallery, Turnmills (London) has been turning heads and attracting all sorts of guest DJs like Timo Maas and Atomic Hooligan as they move into their second year at the venue.

Tim begins a new residency, Work @ Fire on September 03, with his “Coburn + Guests” room at the tech house club.

Tim’s DJ style combines current sexy, narco-grooves with bootlegs, sleazy electro-house and breaks. The result is a dance-floor bomb for clubs, and his taste in sound has made him no stranger to radio mixes on Radio 1 (UK), XFM (London), Triple-J (Aus), J-Wave (Japan), Thump (USA) to name but a few.

Tim’s production outfit/live band concept with Pete “Slide” Martin - COBURN - has been firing on all cylinders of late, whether producing original material, remixing or appearing as a 5-piece blistering rock outfit.

His latest single: Coburn - We interrupt this programme (Great Stuff/Frontier) has been chosen as the music to accompany the new world-wide ad campaign for the new Citroen C1, and has received radio plays from Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Fergie and Annie Mac with XFM’s Eddy Temple Morris tipping Coburn “as an act to watch” in 2005.

This same record has been licensed to Data/Ministry of Sound and 9 other territories for single release around the world. It already has the support of the current producer/Djs of the moment (from Mylo to Carl Cox).
Following We Interrupt…’s success, Coburn are now completing their album for release this autumn, and have a series of high brow remixes slated for release of the next 6 months (Loaded, Universal etc).
